Even more operator comfort
Research and development have again yielded innovative results. The company has expanded its product range with several new machines: the vibrating plates CF 2 and CF 3, the reversible soil compactor CR 5 and the vibrating tamper SRV 660. All machines have been optimized, especially in operator comfort.
An uncompromising quality assurance policy and constant re-search and development work belong to Weber MT’s secret of success. This is why the company can present several well devised product innovations this year.
CF 2 and CF 3 Single-Direction Vibratory Plate Compactors
The CF 2 (working width: 45 cm) and CF 3 (working width: 50 cm) single-direction vibratory plate compactors are ideally suited for repair tasks and small compaction work in the landscaping sector. They replace the predecessor models of the same designation. Thanks to their compact dimensions, the folding guide bar and carrying handles at the front and both sides the, machines can be transported with ease.
In addition, the new guide bar considerably reduces the hand/arm vibrations and thus ensures comfortable work for many hours per day. The CF 2 has an operating weight of 80 kg and is equipped with a Honda or Robin gasoline engine. The machine features a centrifugal force of 16 kN. The CF 3 has a weight of 95 kg and also offers the choice between gasoline engines from Robin and Honda. In addition, a variant with a Lombardini Diesel engine and an operating weight of 110 kg is available. All three CF 3 types deliver a centrifugal force of 22 kN.
Upon request, the CF 2 and CF 3 are available with an integrated undercarriage and a polyurethane pad. Also available as an optional extra: a water tank with a capacity of 16 liters for asphalt compaction.
CR 5 reversible soil compactor
A new version of the CR 5 reversible soil compactor has been designed for the compaction of sand, gravel and crushed aggregates, as well as for the compaction of interlocking paving stones. The new compactor replaces the previous CR 4 and CR 5 and satisfies the user through its ease of operation. Thanks to a new setting of the machine parameters, the soil compactor features superior running qualities.
In addition, the machine’s speed and climbing ability have been increased considerably. Great pro-gress has also been made in reducing the hand/arm vibrations. This allows fatigue-free work for many hours. The CR 5 offers even more comfort to the user: the throttle control lever is within the operator’s field of vision and is easily accessible.
A self-adjusting centrifugal clutch eliminates the need to periodically tighten the V-belt. The large lifting eye enables quick and safe loading. Finally, the noise level is considerably reduced by the engine cover in combination with the rugged protection frame.
The standard version of the CR 5 (281 kg) is equipped with a Hatz Diesel engine. In addition, the variants CR 5 E (298 kg) with electric starter and CR 5 Hd (273 kg) with Honda gasoline engine are available. All three variants deliver an output of 42 kN. The working width of 55 cm can easily be extended to 70 cm by means of extension plates.
SRV 660 Vibrating Tampers
With the new SRV 660 (tamping shoe width: 28 cm) Weber MT also demonstrates its innovative strength in the field of vibrating tampers. A three-stage air filter system with cyclone precleaner, new designed main filter and the regular filter from the engine ma-nufacturer has been incorporated for the first time. This significantly increases the service life of the 4-stroke Robin EH 12 engine (3 kW/4.1 HP).
Users of the SRV 660 will benefit from improved operating characteristics, reduced hand/arm vibrations and ease of operation. The SRV 660 has a weight of 75 kg.
