Weber MT Supports SANDSATION
Sandsculpture Festival 2010
Nothing would work here without previous compaction. The artists of the SANDSATION sandsculpture festival use machines from Weber MT to compact the sand. Only then, they are able to cut contours out of the material.
It is one of the highlights of the culture summer in Berlin: the international sandsculpture festival with 22 sand artists from all over the world. Twelve sculptures as well as one monumental sculpture with a height of 10 meters are built here. Visitors can marvel at the artworks from June June 6 to August 29.
This event is supported by Weber Maschinentechnik. Together with the Berlin construction machinery distributor Rohwedder, the company provides several SRV 620 tampers and one CR 8 soil compactor. Only their compaction performance allows the artists to cut and shape their masterworks out of the sand.
